By placing learners at the heart of the design process and adopting a learner-centred approach, we can ensure that our blended learning experiences are meaningful and effective.

As you think about your own learning activities, keep in mind Dee Fink's (2013) three key sets of decisions mentioned on the previous page on backward design.

  1. What do you want the students to learn? 
  2. How will students (and the teacher) know if they are learning? 
  3. What will the teacher and students need to do for students to learn?
